A Morning of Nourishment: Retreat Highlights & Reflections
On the 24 September, we had the pure joy of hosting a half-day retreat for an incredible group of women. Under soft light and gentle energy, we gathered to rest, reflect and replenish.
The Invitation: Pause, Breathe and Be
Too often in our busy lives, we forget to pause. We rush from one thing to another, carrying stress in our shoulders, in our minds. The simple act of coming together with intention, choice and openness, becomes radical.
On the morning retreat, we invited everyone to:
-
Slow down
-
Connect inward
-
Share honestly
-
Let go of what was no longer serving them
-
Receive nourishment (for mind, body and soul)
Moments That Mattered
-
Gentle movement & stretch – we began by waking up the body in a kind, loving way. No pressure, no goals – just creating presence.
-
Guided meditation & breathwork – sharing tools that are so helpful anchor us back into stillness, even when life feels tangled.
-
Time to create – a space to speak and listened to with warmth, as we painted not for judgement but just for the simple joy of creativity
-
Nutritious refreshments – foods and drinks that felt like a hug from the inside.
-
Personal journaling/reflective prompts – to let insights settle, and see what wants to rise.
One thing we always see by the time the retreat ends: how the energy shifts from doing mode to being mode. Faces look softer, eyes clearer, shoulders have definitely released.
What “Nourishment” Really Means
It’s not about indulgence or escape. It’s about meeting yourself with love, with curiosity and without expectations. It’s about restoring the parts of you that have gone quiet or have been put to one side in the busy-ness.
Nourishment shows up in many forms:
-
Time in stillness
-
Heartfelt connection
-
Clean, wholesome food
-
Movement that feels good
-
Space to let thoughts and emotions breathe
For You: Simple Rituals to Invite Nourishment Daily
You don’t need a formal retreat to bring nourishment into your life. Try these small practices over the next week and see what resonates with you:
-
Five minutes of breathwork – sit, close your eyes, and follow the journey of each inhale and exhale.
-
Morning pages or free journaling – let your thoughts pour out, no editing.
-
Mindful movement – a stretch, a walk, yoga, or even a gentle dance.
-
Sacred pause between tasks – use transitions (tea breaks, walking to another room) to simply breathe. Not looking at your phone, not to run an errand. Just pause.
-
Evening reflection – ask, “What did I receive today? What was hard? What do I need tomorrow?”
Thankful Reflections
We are so deeply grateful to the women who joined us in September – your trust, openness and willingness to journey inward. These retreats remind us, again and again, why we do this work. To witness people taking time for themselves is a joy.
If you’ve ever considered coming to one of our retreats (full-day, weekend, or bespoke), we’d love to have you. Reach out and let’s see what your soul needs next.
